High Quality Wedding Albums – yes, they’re worth it

High quality wedding albums are expensive, there’s no doubt about it. You’re talking about an outlay of hundreds of pounds, or maybe more. Which begs the question – are they really worth it? Well, the title is a clue to my feelings. Let me explain why I think they actually offer great value for money.

People spend a long time planning a wedding day. On average, you’re talking a year, maybe more. Getting the venue that you want might mean putting down a deposit 18 months before your actual wedding date. Then there are the other things to get – a cake, rings, flowers, a dress. Time spent deciding who to invite, choosing the invitations. It’s a long process. The day itself is a culmination of many hours of hard work ….. and a not considerable outlay of cash too.

So I’m very conscious when I’m booked to photograph a wedding day that actually I’m creating a record of all that advance planning too. I want to make sure that the photos I create cover everything that’s there on the day. As well as the ceremony, the first kiss, cake cutting and first dance, I’m there to capture the guests having the time of their lives. Not to mention, those things that you spent hours deciding on – right down to the table plan and the sweet table. I try to capture the lot.

Bearing in mind all that care, effort and expense, then it seems only sensible to display those photos the best way possible. So, when I’m designing an album – whether for my own wedding couple, for another photographer, or a couple who’ve found me independently – I will turn first to a high quality wedding album manufacturer.

It all boils down to quality, basically. I want you to love the album you receive. I want you to be excited about opening up the box and seeing it for the first time, and I want that excitement to continue for years to come. I want you to still feel a thrill ten years later when you’re celebrating an anniversary and getting the album out of the attic to look at. The feel of the album is vital in achieving that. The feel of the pages. The smell of the leather cover. The quality of the printing. You have to know that they are all special – that you possess something special.

A wedding album isn’t an everyday purchase. Like buying a Swiss watch, or a handmade dress, you’re treating yourself to something of quality that is going to endure. And, as each year passes and it’s still there, looking as good as the day it first arrived, I want you to think what a bargain you actually got.

I design for other photographers and couples whose photographer doesn’t offer albums.
